We all use many applications in mobile devices, we observe some applications consuming more battery. To Know how much the battery is consumed by the particular application we go with battery testing.
Users will have many applications installed in their devices, like web, native and hybrid apps.
Nowadays most of the applications are connected with the network,which will start draining the battery on the device, hence to check which app is consuming more battery we have two ways to do it.
- Determining the battery usage by System setting application
- Test the battery usage by using 3rd party application
Determining the battery usage by setting application
- In System settings application
- Click on Battery and device care.
- Click on Battery.
- Click on the graph it takes to the battery consumed by the applications with respect to the date.
This shows the clear data of which application consumes more Battery.
Note: Based on the different OEM’s the settings application UI varies.
Test the battery usage by using 3rd party application
There are other applications in play store which give the battery usage of an application.(Ex:-App Usage,GSam Battery Monitor,AccuBattery)
For Demonstration, we are using App usage.
Step1:- Install third-party application, App Usage from play store.
Step 2:- Grant all the permissions for the application.
Step 3: In Dashboard Screen click on Categories more option.
Step 4: Navigate to Detailed View.
